Time Flies!

Wow, September is already gone, and now it feels like October is going to blow by as well.
I've been super busy hookin away. I'm getting ready for two craft shows this winter! Loads of puppets to make, and Monsters to create!

Happy Labour Day!

Woot Woot! I booked the weekend off for the holiday! Going to be spending sometime with family and good friends. Tomorrow I'll be heading out to Tickled Pink (children shop in Ottawa)
to Drop off MORE monster puppets and finger puppets!

GREAT NEWS!!!
In July, I was asked by the Family Canadian Magazine, to submit some of my monster puppets and finger puppets. They wanted to feature them in the November gift guide issue.
Well yesterday I got an email from the Editor that they Loved my Monsters soooo much, they are putting them in two issues of their magazine! WOW those Monsters are going to have HUGE egos!! haha.

Kranky-Kitty Mitties

Had a bad day? Let everyone know about it! I took a lot of care creating these super cool mittes for all ages. Thinking I'd like to make some monkey ones, for days when I'm feeling just a tad on the cheeky side. (which is most of the time) Did you know that every year many many many (and I can't type the many, many's I would need) children go without Mitties and hats?
This year I am going to make a dozen mitties and kid scarfs for my sons school! Sure shop that it helps out some families in need this soon to be chilly season.

Halloween Fun!

Well it's almost time for my absolute FAVORITE holiday!

Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every year at Halloween, Easter, and Christmas I release limited edition finger puppets. I never sell them after the said holiday, and I change the theme of them every year. So if you own a set of ghosts and pumpkins from last year, well.....this year is even better! Glow-In-The-Dark Ghost finger puppets!!!

Yes they really do glow!! Ya just charge em up in front of a good ol 60W for 5 min, and VIOLA, a glowing ghoul. Now to start planning for Christmas!

Finally! Meet my newest puppet line. THE BED-BUGZ ! These little guys were created with little hands in mind. Great for ages 3 - 8 yrs old. Kid friendly and Vegan friendly too!

Newest Puppet!

Well it took alot of coffee and a ton of brain power! I have had a funeral for all the little brain cells that died this weekend :) I have been wanting to create a puppet that's good for little hands. Easy to use and can be animated like the Monster Puppets.
I took the ones I made to Tickled Pink to see how they would do there! I'm not posting any pictures or any hints until I see how they do!!!!!!! awwwwww haha.
ok ok ok, I'll give you a hint.....small...people often refer to them at bed time.....might bite your butt!!!!

Getting Ready

Well It's that time of year for all crafters! Holidays are soon upon us and now is the time to start hookin like a mad hatter. Craft shows, Tickled Pink traffic and Handmade Gifts are just a few things on my mind right now. I'm also thinking of starting a new theme in my shop. I do Monsters - cupcakes - skulls - birds and owls.....hhhhmmmm what else can I hook that will carry my imagination off to "NEVER-NEVER LAND" OH...I think I have it! stay tuned to see!

Who Gives a HOOT!

LOL, I'm just in love with making these guys!! I finally got some more eyes, and now I am once again creating Hoots.

I'm thinking of doing a Mommy and Baby set for Etsy and Tickled Pink. They are pretty small too, 3inch x 4inch. Creating them makes me think of a fantasy forest, with little fairies and trees that talk! Hmmmmmmmmmm

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Well well well, today is my bday! I got to see transformers last night and WOW!! I loved it.
got my thinking hmmmmm I should try a Puppet like that! (Now that would be a challange!)
Just going to spend the day with my kids and Hubby having fun and playing poolside (IF the rain stays away) I made a Sale this morning, so that was a great B-Day present!! :)

Turtle Power!

Wow, I was super excited to get the chance to create Donatello for a customer! I have to admit I am a fan of the shell kicking 4some,
so when "he" asked me if I could do I jumped at the chance!
He was tricky, but I learned how to make little elbow pads and even a Bo staff! (not pictured)
I've had a bit of Hooker's block and this guy got my fibers flowin once again! Now That's TURTLE POWER!
